Welcome to LCA Reading Tree
This is a place for discovery, learning and understanding.
Sometimes a book, podcast, video, article or story gives language to something you have felt for a long time, but could not yet explain.
Perhaps you learn something about attachment, trauma, grief, emotions or the patterns that shape the way you move through the world.
Perhaps you recognise yourself in someone else’s story and realise:
“I am not the only one.”
The Reading Tree reminds us that knowledge can become more than information.
It can turn confusion into clarity.
It can soften shame.
It can help us meet ourselves and others with greater compassion.
The Understanding Pause
A ritual for finding words for what you are experiencing.
Choose something that has helped you learn or see differently: a book, article, podcast, video, conversation or piece of psychoeducation.
Take a moment to reflect:
“What did I learn or recognise?”
“What does this help me understand about my own experience?”
“Does this give language to something I have struggled to describe?”
“How does this change the way I see myself, someone else or what I am going through?”
“What compassion becomes possible when I understand this more deeply?”
Write down the insight you want to keep.
Before you leave
Complete this sentence:
Today, I understand a little more that…
Understanding does not make everything easy.
But it can make what you carry feel less confusing, less lonely and more possible to hold.
